Images Text

After the break up of a long-term domestic relationship, Brooke photographed the dust and stains left on the newly bare walls of the home. The images show the traces of picture frames and objects that previously hung next to one another reiterating an interest in sequential strips and multiple frames explored in other narrative works. However, here the images are removed and the figure ground relationship is revealed. The stripping away of details allow the surfaces to be seen. This architecture of loss and exposed visual structure develops-out the latent image of a personal interior.
